RÉALISATION    -  LET’S START

Monter 143 mailles en montage souple. Vous aurez 7 fois les 19 m. du motif et deux fois 5 m. en point mousse pour les bords. Tric. 10 rangs au point mousse.   Continuer avec le diagramme en gardant de chaque côté un bord de 5 m. au point mousse. Tric. au total 24 x 16 rangs ou plus si vous désirez obtenir une version plus longue.  Finir avec 10 rgs au point mousse. Arrêter les mailles souplement.

Cast on 143 stitches to obtain an elastic edge. You’ll have 7 times 19 stitches of the motif plus 5 stitches on each side for a border. Make 10 rows in garter stitch and continue then with the design: 5 garter stitch, seven times the chart and finish the row with 5 garter stitch. Make in total 24 times those 16 rows or more if you want a longer shawl. Finish with 10 rows in garter stitch.  Bind off very loosely.

Rentrer les fils aussi invisible que possible sans pour autant couper les bouts. Faire la mise en forme (rinçage et  séchage à plat). Coudre les petits boutons sur une extrémité d’un côté long. Les trous de l’autre extrémité de ce côté long sont assez élastiques pour pouvoir les passer au travers. Vous pouvez porter le châle boutonné par devant ou avec les boutons sur l’épaule.

Insert the loose ends as invisible as possible, cut them only after blocking! Sew on the small buttons at one side of a long border. The holes of the stitches on the other side will be the buttonholes. You can wear this shawl with buttons in front or over the shoulder.
